A total of 108 households were interviewed and given questionnaires; 108 parents, 74 children, 40 teenagers, and 107 females. The largest amount of parents were 35 years, with the youngest being 20, and oldest being 60 years old. The average age was between the ages of 31-45 years old.
Almost all respondents were female. 40% of the parents were of primary educational status, (grade 1-8), and 50% were married.
From the respondents, 41% had at least one illness, and 2% had severe illnesses. The common illnesses were lower extremity pains, and HIV/AIDs.
16% of the respondents said that they had at least one family member with a psychological illness within the household. Types of psychological illnesses included autism, epilepsy, stress, depression, and several other types.
From the parents, 10 had a history of physical violence, 7 had a history of sexual violence, 24 had a history of psychological violence, and 33 had a family member who abused the use of alcohol or drug substances.
